Rick Baker, Music Director & Conductor

Music Director and Conductor Rick Baker has led the band since 2010. Prior to his appointment, he played first trumpet in the band for 28 years. Aubrey Martin, President

Aubrey Martin, ACB PresidentAubrey joined ACB in the fall of 2021, served as Vice President and then was elected President in 2022. Aubrey served as Chairperson for the annual Salute to Community Bands event in 2023 and 2024. She performed with the HEB Symphony and with the band at Tarleton State University, where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology. Aubrey plays clarinet but her love is playing the tenor saxophone. She is a Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant for IDEXX Laboratories and she and husband Chad live in Arlington along with their three canine companions.

Christine Halowec, Vice President

Christine Halowec, ACB Vice PresidentChristine has played flute and piccolo with the ACB since 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree and Teaching Certification in Music from the University of North Texas. She’s working on her master’s in music education at the University North Texas and is a High School Assistant Band Director. In her spare time, she also takes care of her various patients’ medication needs as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

Catherine Samson, Treasurer

Cat has been in the ACB flute section since January 2022. In January 2024 she was appointed flute Section Leader and began her term as Treasurer. Cat is a licensed CPA and Senior Audit Manager at PSK LLP, where she provides assurance and advisory services to nonprofit organizations.

Scott Wolfe, Secretary

Scott is a member of the Euphonium section. The ACB is one of several ensembles that he enjoys participating in with his wife. She is a French Horn player, so it is a family affair. Scott enjoys CrossFit and sailing when he’s not feeling musical. He and his wife are small business bookkeepers and enjoy helping other small businesses grow.

Jason McAfee, Grants Coordinator

Jason has been with the ACB for less than a year, however, he has been playing with area community bands for over a decade. Jason plays contra-alto clarinet with ACB and plays saxophone and tuba for other organizations. Professionally, Jason is a platform/data engineer for a Fortune 100 company specializing in providing enterprise class computing and networking solutions.

Suzanne Winter, Property Manager

Suzanne has played percussion for many years and joined the ACB as the only percussionist at the time, welcomed with enthusiasm by then director Bob Copeland and flutist, Velma Bogart welcomed me with such enthusiasm. Since retiring from American Airlines with 40 years of service, she has increased her time with the band, volunteering to serve as section leader and Board member. She also serves on the Board of the Arlington Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association.

Terry Finley, Concert Manager

Terry has been a member of the ACB for six seasons and currently serves as Concert Manager and French Horn section leader. Terry is employed at Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church as a Ministry Assistant and she volunteers in children’s, women’s, and worship ministries at Lamar Baptist Church and loves empty-nest traveling with her husband, Mark.

Jenny Moore, Interim Publicity Coordinator

Jenny has played percussion with ACB since June 2023. She has 15 years of experience in marketing and communication and holds a Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University. She has previously served in various leadership positions within the Junior League of Arlington.
